Faltejsek rides a winner in Toulouse, and misses the meeting at Pardubice

After his second place in the Gran Premio at Merano and his winning ride on Orphee des Blins last September and October, Jan Faltejsek moved to the stable of leading French steeplechase trainer, Guillaume Macaire. He has already ridden 12 winners in 2013, including a winning ride at Toulouse on Pepito de Lune, the favourite in the Prix de Montech. Faltejsek’s mounts have won prize money of EUR 196 485, an amazing sum by the standards of Czech steeplechasing. He was not able to get to the recent meeting at Pardubice, as he was engaged to ride in France on the Friday and the Sunday.

In recent years, Jan Faltejsek has ridden in the Czech Republic for the BORS Breclav stable, where the trainer is Petr Juranek. Juranek hopes that Faltejsek will be available to ride for him again this year. BORS Breclav has King of Gracie and Wavelight Laser entered for the Velka Pardubice. Both of them have been off the course for some time, after showing some (fairly) promising form.
