The feature of last weekend's racing was the achievement of Tomas Hurt in training four winners in four successive races at Benesov - one at Category III, two at Category IV and one at Category V. He was on such a roll that the fourth of these winners was with a filly that had been tailed off in her only two previous races. Two of these winners were ridden by the apprentice, Katerina Hlubuckova, and were both carrying 48 kg, the minimum weight in our races.

Tomas Hurt, who was our champion jumps jockey in 2002, leads the team organizing  the races at Benesov. He told  that he would like to arrange another meeting at Benesov on Sunday, August 25th. This would be very welcome, as there is only one meeting, at Karlovy Vary in the coming weekend, and the only meeting scheduled for the August 24th/25th weekend is at Pardubice on the Saturday. Pardubice offers only jumps races and one bumper. No doubt there would be plenty of entries for low category races at Benesov, where the ground is likely to be good for racing.
