As expected, the leading Czech-based  trainers are sending good horses for the main races at Warsaw Partynice on September 7th and 8th. Cestmir Olehla has three entries in the two big races. In the Wielka Wroclawska, his Demon Magic, third in last year’s Gran Premio at Merano, will be well favoured. Ursan, trained by Stanislav Popelka, is well established among our leading chasers, and won the Nagroda Tiumena at Wroclaw Partynice on August 11th. Five of the declared runners are Czech-trained, and the other five are Polish-trained.

In the Wielka Partynicka hurdles race, on the previous day, four of the declared runners are Czech-trained, the best of which is the highly promising Skarabeus, trained in the Czech Republic by Polish-born Greg Wroblewski. Three Polish-trained horses are declared to run. The eighth horse in the field is Christian Richner Bloodstock‘s Royal Okawango, trained in Slovakia by MichalRočák. This horse won a race at Merano last year, but had an undistinguished warm-up race at Bratislava on August 25 this year.

One horse trained by Josef Vana is entered for each of these races. Age of Luck and Enzio are not the best horses in his yard, but will not be just making up the numbers.
