The result of the appeal against the extraordinary decision by the stewards at Cologne to take away Czech-trained Meandre's victory in last Sunday's Preis von Europa (Group 1) is expected on November 2nd.

There has been some discussion about whether to supplement Meandre for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and it is good that the result of the appeal should be known before that race is run. It is expected that Meandre will run in Dubai this winter, and that he will be accompanied by his stablemate Dux Scholar, also owned by Ramzan Kadirov and trained by Arslangirej Savujev, which won the Category I Martin Tour City of Prague Grand Prix, 1 600 metres, at Prague Velka Chuchle on September 23rd.
