According to the odds offered by Betino, the Czech horseracing  monopoly bookmaker, Tiumen is the hot favourite for Saturday's Velka Pardubicka. He is offered at 5:2 (If you stake 2 crowns, you will get 5 crowns back, if he wins). Next in the betting is double qualification race winner Trezor, to be ridden by Liam Treadwell, at 5:1 (i.e. 4/1 in Irish/UK terms). Then come the two Olehla-trained hopefuls, Ronino at 6:1 and Klaus at 7.77:1. There are three 11:1 shots - two-time VP winner Sixteen, Moravian champion Valldemoso, and Vana-trained Belmont. Then come Irish-trained Uncle Junior and British-trained Maljimar, both at 12:1. June qualification race winner Karlsbad is at 16:1. These ten are all major contenders for the race, and I would say that the bookie has got them about right and is being less ungenerous than he usually is - and the prices will probably come in on the day of the race.

The thirteen less-fancied horses are currently at the following prices: 30:1 Tomis; 50:1 Bremen Plan and Orphee des Blins; 55:1 Grilias, Nikas and  Doctor Pat; 75:1 Aspirant and Mandarino; 100:1 Cabernet, Imbir, Wyona, Argentan and Le Jackpot. Again the bookie seems to have got it about right. Possible value bets for a small each-way bet might be on Aspirant, Mandarino or Bremen Plan. They are not without a chance on their best form, which is however some time in the past.

With Betino it is possible to bet: to win; each-way; to finish 1st or 2nd; to finish 1st - 3rd; to finish 1st - 4th, and to finish 1st - 5th. These are fixed odds bets, not starting price. When you bet at fixed odds you pay a service charge of 5%. Betino also offers a duo bet (Ist and 2nd, in the correct order), and a trio bet (Ist, 2nd and 3rd, in the correct order)

Bets on Czech horseracing are accepted at Fortuna bettng shops.
