Entries for the Wielka Wroclawska and the Wielka Partynicka

I have at last found the entries for the big meeting at Wroclaw on September 4th. They were hidden on a monolingual site called www.pkwk.pl.

As expected, the Wielka Wroclawska steeplechase and the Wielka Partynicka, over hurdles, have attracted a big proportion of Czech-trained entries. However, the overall numbers of entries are on the low side.

Seven of the 14 entries for the Wielka Wroclawska are trained in the Czech Republic, six in Poland and one in Germany. Last year’s winner, Delight my Fire, trained by Radim Bodlák, was very unlucky to be narrowly beaten by Sergeant Thunder, trained by František Holčák, at Wroclaw a few weeks ago, and will have a good chance of repeating last year’s success.

Only four of the 11 entries for the Wielka Partynice, over hurdles, are trained in the Czech Republic. The best of these is probably Nos Galan, winner of the Pardubice Gold Cup here in June. However, in May, he had been well-beaten at Pardubice by Inferna, trained in Poland by Robert Swiatek.
