28 Czech contenders for the VP, and their handicap ratings

Twenty-eight Czech- and Slovak-trained horses have fulfilled the qualification requirements for the Velka Pardubicka (assuming that Goscater will be supplemented for the race). Their current rankings are as follows:

1. CHARME LOOK - 90,5
2. KASIM - 89,5
2. RABBIT WELL(GB) - 89,5
4. ANGE GUARDIAN(GER) - 88,5
5. RIBELINO(FR) - 88,0
6. GOSCATER – 87,5 kg
6. HEGNUS - 87,5
8. ZARIF(IRE) - 87,0
9. VANDUAL(SVK) - 86,5
10. NIKAS - 84,5
10. PUNTARENAS - 84,5
10. TEMPLÁŘ - 84,5
10. TER MILL - 84,5
14. UNIVERSE OF GRACIE(GER) - 84,0
15. REAPER(GER*) - 83,5
16. MODENA - 83,0
17. AL JAZ - 82,0
17. PARETO - 82,0
19. BROKER(GER) – 81,0
20. RABBIT HAWK WING(IRE) - 80,5
20. SHERARDO - 80,5
22. KLAUS(POL) - 80,0
23. RENDEZ VOUS - 79,0
24. AMARAGON - 78,5
25. NEBRIUS(POL) - 77,0
26. PEINTRE ABSTRAIT(IRE) - 76,5
27. PEER COOPER(GB) - 74,0
28. LINGARRY(FR) - 70,0

It seems that none of the foreign-trained entries will run, with the possible exception of Vinga, which won the recent Crystal Cup race at Craon.
The field for the Velka Pardubicka is limited to 25. It seems unlikely that the field will be as big as that on October 9th. In the unlikely event that more than 25 are declared run, those with the lowest handicaps will be eliminated. None of those with a handicap lower than 80 kg is at all likely to be in a position to put in a challenge at the end of the 2016 Velka Pardubicka.
