Somehow, there has always been something more pressing to do, throughout the last three weeks, than to write an October newsletter. However, I can disappoint my enemies and console my friends by assuring them that I am still around and in contention, and seem to be in good health, and that I fully intend to write a November newsletter before the end of October, to translate some interesting articles about Czech horseracing from Czech, and keep readers informed of anything interesting that I hear about.

In recent years, I have always spent the week after the VP studying the video of the uninterrupted 400-minute transmission of the race day on the Czech Television ČT Sport channel, and then writing my impressions. I will do so again this year - rather than write the October Newsletter - now that I have met a few deadlines and can turn my attention to it.
