Dear breeders, owners and supporters of Czech thoroughbred breeding

The Jockey Club of the Czech Republic has decided to provide financial support for http://www.katalog-plemeniku.cz/ (the Catalogue of Stallions), produced by Blacktypepedigree. Support for Czech breeding must be one of the most important priorities of the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic, not only in 2018. We are therefore preparing various ways to support Czech breeders.

The most important part of the mosaic is a functioning catalogue of stallions that presents basic information that breeders should have available. This will be backed up by marketing support, in the form of an advertising information campaign in collaboration with Blacktypepedigree. This will be presented on the www.dostihy.fitmin.cz website, with a link to the www.dostihy.cz web pages.

The aim of breeding in the Czech Republic must be to achieve good results, which can only through repetition stimulate international demand for racehorses bred here. It should be taken into account that, without Czech-bred horses, our horseracing would gradually cease to function on such as scale as at the present time. We can take as a warning the development of horseracing in some neighbouring countries, where thoroughbred breeding has de facto ceased to exist.

I consider that the Catalogue of Stallions, the advertising information campaign and the functioning web pages form the basis that the horseracing authorities should provide for breeders.
