Liška rides three more winners

18-year-old apprentice David Liška rode three more winners at Prague Velká Chuchle on Sunday, after winning four races the previous Sunday. He is building very strongly on the big reputation he established at the end of our 2017 season, and we all hope his dramatic development will continue. A study of the videos of his races this season confirms that he is a real talent, and this week he managed to resist the temptation to wave to his admirers, at least until the last race of the afternoon. http://www.dostihyjc.cz/vysledky.php

His best performance was on Rapet in the Deyl Memorial, which is the only major trial race for the Czech One Thousand Guineas. The first five finished quite close together, and the best rider won. Rapet is trained by Václav Luka junior, whose yard near Písek is where David Liška has been brought along since he wrote to the trainer as a boy, and was then promptly invited to visit the stable. David Liška was brought up near the Luka yard. Both Luka and Liška stand to gain a great deal from continuing to cooperate with each other.
