Loko Trans v Dostihový spolek, Part 2 Press Statement of the Loko Trans Group 

On behalf of the LOKO TRANS group, we would like to react to the acquisition of arena naming partner rights for Pardubice racecourse, which the Town of Pardubice obtained for the sum of CZK 250 000 (about EUR 10 000),without Value Added Tax, for the next three years.

 In the framework of negotiations on entering Dostihový spolek as a shareholder and subsequent key measures on providing financial means in the amount of CZK 7 150 000 per year for the next five years, the LOKO TRANS group offered CZK 1 000 000 per year for naming partner rights – to give the racecourse the name LOKO TRANS Arena.

The leadership of the Town, specifically Mr Kvaš (deputy mayor), insisted on a sum of CZK 1 500 000 per year for the racecourse naming rights. The step by which the naming partner rights were agreed for CZK 250 000 per year, which will in addition be drawn from municipal funds, was a great disappointment to us, and we have no reason to continue negotiating about any kind of financial support for Dostihový spolek. We have the feeling that our offer of financial support for Dostihový spolek is unwanted, and that there is no longer any point in pursuing the matter.
