Three horses supplemented for the Velka Pardubicka

Pardubice, August 28th, 2014 – The first supplementary entry date for the 124th  Velka Pardubicka with Česká Pojišťovna has been made use of by three racing stables. The new entries are two well-known Czech horses and one representative from the British Isles. Trainer Charlie Mann and the Put It To The Vote Partnership  want to bring 8-y-o Lambro to run in east Bohemia.

The names of the new Czech entries are probably better known to the Czech racing public. The supplemented horses are Universe of Gracie (owned by BORS Břeclav a.s.), an experienced 9-y-o, and Trezor (stáj Epicos), the King of the Qualification Races. Trainer Hana Kabelková set out at the beginning of the season with somewhat different ideas for 10-y-o Trezor. This is a kind of alternative option,” Hana Kabelková admits. We wanted to try racing him abroad, in France, but Trezor lost a plate in the qualification race, and then he had some health problems. He missed out on some preparation,” Kabelková explains, adding that Trezor is now fit and in full training. The trainer considered sending Trezor for the Labe Prize on Velka Pardubicka day. However, the owner wanted to try for the Velka Pardubicka, Kabelková says. Trezor already fulfilled the qualification conditions for the high point of the horseracing season in June, when he won the Miloš Svoboda Memorial (the second qualification race), with Ondřej Velek in the saddle.

Universe of Gracie, trained by Jiří Kousek, who is also likely to ride the gelding, fulfilled the qualification conditions in the May qualification race, when he finished 5th behind Nikas, Peintre Abstrait, Speranza and Klaus.

Further supplementary entries can be made on Thursday, September 18th, and on Thursday, September 25th. The deadline for declarations to run is on Friday, October 3rd.
