European Jockeys Cup at Prague Velká Chuchle has a successful outcome

Cristian Demuro won the European Jockeys Cup at Prague Velká Chuchle, after winning the first two races, on Dumnonia and Prince Orpen. The other races went to Tamarind Cove, ridden by Václac Janáček, and to Touch of Genius, ridden by Filip Minarík. The final race in the competition, the European Jockeys Cup Million, was won by Dashing Home, ridden by Fabrice Veron.

It was a very special afternoon, with top jockeys and competitive, high-class racing, on a fine afternoon in front of a large crowd. For the first time since the 1930s, Prague Velká Chuchle racecourse was genuinely presented as a top European flat racing course, if only for one day. Everybody is now saying that this must be repeated next year, and must become an annual event.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the success of this day, and above all to trainer Václav Luka, jnr. and to Milan Kříž, logistics manager and managing director of LERAM, the Brno-based pharmaceuticals distribution company. They saw the whole thing through, from an idea, though an ambitious project, to a successful outcome.
