Jockey Michal Köhl dies after a fall at Brno

We announce the tragic death on September 27th of Michal Köhl, a jockey who had been active in Czech horse racing for more than 20 years. He had ridden 7 winners on the flat and 64 in jumps races, including 4 wins at Category I level and above. He rode more horses for trainer Josef Váňa than for any other trainer. He spent some time in England, and is one of the small number of Czech jockeys to have ridden a winner in the UK.

Everyone at Dostihový svět expresses her/his condolences to his family and friends.
