Vladislav Snitkovskij has died

We sadly report the death, a week before Christmas, of Vladislav Snitkovskij, at the age of just 45. This Russian jockey twice won the Velka Pardubicka, on Erudit in 1994 and on Cipísek in 1996. When he returned to Russia, Voloďa Snitkovskij worked as a trainer of steeplechasers. However, steeplechasing soon closed down in Russia, and more recently he trained show jumpers and eventers, achieving a good level of success in Russia and also abroad.

Everyone at Dostihový svět is saddened by the premature death of this fine jockey and horseman and a major personality in Czech steeplechasing in the 1990s. We offer our condolences to his friends and family.
