21st Annual Czech Horseracing Gala Evening: Touch of Genius is the Horse of the Year.

The 21st annual Czech Horseracing Gala Evening was held on Saturday, January 30th, at the Národní dum in Prague - Vinohrady. This event returned to the capital city after being hosted for several years in Prostějov, in north Moravia. The programme began at 7 p.m., and there was a prize ceremony for the best horses, owners, trainers and jockeys from the 2015 season. The most prestigious title, 2015 Horse of the Year, went to Czech Derby and Slovak Derby winner Touch of Genius, trained by Josef Váňa for Statek Blata Český Ráj (Jana Dufkova and Josef Dufek). One of the most emotional moments in the evening was the announcement of an Award for a Long-term Contribution to Horseracing, which was presented to two-time winning jockey of the Velka Pardubicka and six-time winning trainer of the Czech Derby, František Vítek.
