Petrlík returns to Pičín. Rabbit Well is retired

Trainer Allan Petrlík returned at the beginning of July to the Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov centre at Pičín, near Benešov, and the stable had two winners at the recent meeting at Netolice.
Stable jockey Jan Verner (shown in the photo with Allan Petrlík) rode Rabbit Librettist to victory in the Jiří Hurt Memorial Steeplechase. Verner is the lightest of our top male flat riders, able to ride at 53 kg, and he has won a total of 183 races on the flat, many of them in the green-and-white Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov colours. This was his sixth win over jumps, in just 15 starts.
Allan Petrlík announced that two Rabbit horses are to be retired: Rabbit Well, winner of 20 races but most famous for his annoying tendency to be left at the start, and Love Me, Czech-bred winner of the 2014 Slovak Derby.
Allan Petrlík says that he will be concentrating this autumn on bringing on some promising two-year-olds in the yard at Pičín.
