The government of the Czech Republic announced on June 10^th that it supports a proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture to provide five million Czech crowns (almost EUR 200 000) in support of the Velka Pardubicka Steeplechase. This amount will be provided from the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture. According to information provided by the eagri.cz server, the support will contribute towards ensuring the quality of the programme and retaining one of the most prestigious horse races in Europe, which is inherently linked with the Czech Republic. The funding will be assigned to the Town of Pardubice.
