St Leger meeting postponed, final meeting at Prague Velká Chuchle cancelled

We are told that the virus figures have been heading sharply in the wrong direction. Stricter measures have been introduced, and open-air events must be held behind closed doors, at least until November 3rd. The Jockey Club of the Czech Republic has been arguing for an exception to be made for horseracing, so that the Czech St. Leger can be run, and a premature end to our racing season has not been called.

The St Leger has now been postponed for the second time, and will not be run until at least November 3rd. The final meeting of the season at Prague Velká Chuchle, which would have featured the President of the Republic Stakes, on the second weekend in November, has been cancelled. If another meeting can be held at Velká Chuchle this season, the feature race will be the St Leger.
