Doubts about foreign-trained entries for the Velka Pardubicka

Nine foreign-trained horses are entered for the 2014 Velka Pardubicka with Česká pojišťovna, to be run on October 12th. The latest news about these entries is that a decision about the two horses trained in Ireland by Enda Bolger, Keep On Track and Quantitative Easing,  will not be taken until after a warm-up race, probably at Listowel.

UK-trained Shalimar Fromentro (Nick Williams) will not run. Sarika (Nick Williams)  will not run in the Velka Pardubicka, but might go for the Labe Prize, which he won last year. Lambro (Charlie Mann) was recently supplemented for the VP. The connections are keen to run, but the horse has not yet qualified for the VP by completing a race over three miles or more.

Among the horses trained in France, Lord Villez (Ferdy Murphy)  is a non-runner. The two horses trained by Patrice Quinton, Sulon and Tomcat De Kerser, are both non-runners. Star D'Estruval (Robert Collet) might run – no decision has yet been announced.
