Wroblewski becomes a free-lance trainer

Greg Wroblewski finished as private trainer for Pegas at Zhoř at the end of October, and will now be available as a public trainer. There is a strong rumour that Michal Lisek will take over at Zhoř, and a strong denial that Čestmír Olehla will take on the job. Michal Lisek trained at Prague Velka Chuchle until 2013, and has spent the last year in the UK.

As a very experienced and very successful trainer, Polish-born Greg Wroblewski is sure to be in great demand. He has ridden and trained here and there since leaving Poland a long time before the changes in 1989. He has spent the last six or seven years in the Czech Republic. His heart is in jumps racing, but he has also had some good success on the flat. He speaks English very fluently, and he is the obvious choice for anyone who would like to have a horse expertly trained here for the Velka Pardubicka, or to race almost anywhere in Europe.

Wroblewski’s departure from Zhoř can be linked with the near certainty that triple Velka Pardubicka winner Orphée des Blins will not race again.
