Pardubice racecourse has announced its ‘conception’ for racing in 2015. The Velka Pardubicka will be held on the second Sunday in October, its usual date. There will be 10 racing days.

The experiment with holding a race day in July has been dropped. Another anticipated change is that the race day one day before the Velka will this year consist mainly or entirely of jumps racing, including a Fegentri race and perhaps a flat race for ‘amazonky’ – women riders. It is likely that most meetings will consist of eight races. I have seen no mention of ‘bumpers’, which have become quite popular with some trainers, and I assume that they will continue.
