Young steeplechase rider passes away

We regret to announce that Vojtěch Crha passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27th at the age of twenty-two. This talented young rider had been attending the secondary school for horsebreeding at Kladruby nad Labem as a part-time student, and had been working at the training centre of steeplechasing legend Josef Váňa. In his career, he rode in 18 races, and his nearest approach to winning was on August 23rd, 2014, when he finished second on Jamajka in a Category IV steeplechase.
The funeral of this young steeplechase rider will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the crematorium in Karlovy Vary. The editorial board and everyone at Dostihový svět extend their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
