Any fears that the entries for the European Jockeys Cup at Prague Velká Chuchle might be few in number or moderate in quality were unfounded. Two of the races, over 2 600 metres and 1 400 metres, seem likely to be just about the highest-quality races ever run in the Czech Republic. The other 4 races will also be on a very good level. A number of distinguished jockeys from all over Europe have said they will do their best to come. Czech and Slovak owners and trainers have supported this event by, in many cases, entering all their best horses. There are also some entries from Germany and Hungary.

The declarations to run will be published on Tuesday, September 22^nd. The connections of the entered horses can now submit their ranking of the jockeys. On September 22nd, the jockeys will be distributed according to these lists, with the connections of the most highly-ranked horse getting the first choice, the connections of the second most highly-ranked horse getting the second choice, etc.

It seems that the European Jockeys Cup meeting at Prague Velká Chuchle will be an outstanding day of racing. Note that it will be held on Saturday, September 26^th.
