An e-mail arrived at Pardubice racecourse last weekend stating the Frankie Dettori was interested in coming over for Velka Pardubicka day. This caused some skepticism, as every racecourse receives a number of such messages before each big occasion, together with a request for VIP treatment for a great personality and her/his entourage.

Discreet enquiries were made, and Frankie Dettori’s agent confirmed that, yes, he had personally written the e-mail, and that Mr Dettori would love to come over, if he has no unexpected last-minute commitments. It was recently confirmed that he will arrive on a Sunday morning flight, after riding at Newmarket on Saturday.

It will be perfect if this great jockey and popular racing personality is able to spend Sunday with us at Pardubice racecourse.
