Fifteen meetings are announced for Bratislava, two for Topoľčianky, one for Šurany, one for Šamorin and one for Senice.

All of the Slovak classics will be run at Bratislava: Slovak One Thousand Guineas 15 May 2016; Slovak Two Thousand Guineas 22 May 2016; Slovak Derby 17 July 2016; Slovak Oaks 11 September 2016; Slovak St Leger 25 September 2016. The timing of the classics makes it possible for colts and fillies to run both in the Slovak race and in the corresponding Czech classic. The Slovak races are held after their Czech counterparts, and the management at Bratislava racecourse tries to make sure that the best finishers in the Czech races go on to run at Bratislava.

With the exception of Šamorín (flat only), all the Slovak courses offer racing over fences and on the flat.

There are plenty of Czech trainers for whom one of the Slovak courses is the local racetrack, and plenty of Czech-trained horses will run in Slovakia this summer.
