Pardubice, March 31st, 2016 – The Board of Dostihový spolek a.s., organisers of events at Pardubice racecourse, today confirms that Martin Korba has been appointed to the post of manager of the Association (Dostihový spolek a.s.). The appointment has been made on the recommendation of the selection committee, which chose from among several candidates. Michael Skalický continues as vice-chairman of the Board of Dostihový spolek a.s.

As vice-chairman of the Board of Dostihový spolek a.s., Michael Skalický has been entrusted with directing the Association (Dostihový spolek a.s.). As of today, Martin Korba, a manager and a sportsman, has been appointed to the post of manager, which has been unfilled until now. He will take on his duties from April 1st, 2016. He has stated that he wants to build on projects that have been successfully set up, and to work not only on horseracing events but also on activating the use of the racecourse area outside the racing season.

“The Board been managing the day-to-day running of the company through its vice chairman in a difficult period of stabilization. It has been possible to implement the stabilization measures successfully, and for this reason the Board decided some time ago to fill the post of manager of the Association, which has been vacant until now”, chairman of the Board Richard Benýšek explains.

Dostihový spolek a.s. has been organizing events at Pardubice racecourse for more than 20 years. It shareholders are Bělecký Mlýn (owned by chairman of the Board Richard Benýšek), the Town of Pardubice (represented on the Board by vice-chairman Michael Skalický), and a considerable number of the small shareholders by whom Dostihový spolek was set up in 1992 to save Pardubice racecourse and the Velka Pardubicka.
