Top steeplechasing weekends in Central Europe this autumn: Pardubice, Wroclaw, Merano
Submitted by Robin on 18. July 2014 - 9:29Fans of steeplechasing should experience the Velka Pardubicka at least once in their lifetime, and there are also two other big autumn steeplechasing events in Central Europe that are well worth considering.
The Velka Pardubicka will be run on October 12th, 2014, and there is also a flat race meeting at Pardubice on October 11th. Pardubice is a one-hour train ride from Prague.
Racing this weekend: the Oaks at Most and the Derby at Bratislava

Watching top level footballers these days is watching rich guys getting richer. It is like watching bankers ripping off their clients.
Entries for the Wielka Partynicka and the Wielka Wroclawska close on July 3rd
Submitted by Robin on 30. June 2014 - 11:59Jumps racing at Partynice racecourse, in the southern suburbs of Wroclaw has taken off again in the last two years. Several Czech-based trainers, including Čestmir Olehla, Josef Váňa and Polish-born Greg Wroblewski, regularly send horses to run there.
Trezor wins another VP qualification race

On June 28th, he won his fifth qualification race in five attempts, all of them run in midsummer conditions, often on harder ground and in even hotter weather than last Saturday.
Josef Váňa snr will ride Tiumen at Pardubice on Saturday
