A comment on the Galopp Reporter website expresses what many of us think about the stand-off between the Jockey Club and the organizers of race meetings in the Czech Republic, and about the cancellation of the first day of the 2016 horseracing season.

A meeting called by Jockey Club president Jiří Charvát on March 11th failed to resolve the dispute between the organizers of horseracing and the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic.
According to an interview on the Fitmin Turf website, made by Michaela Zemanová, trainer Hana Kabelková says that Trezor is fit, full of energy and ready for the new racing season. Trezor, now 12 years old, has a remarkable record in Velka Pardubicka qualification races. He won all five QRs that he ran in in 2012 – 2014.

Since 2013, steeplechasing has been going from strength to strength at Wroclaw racecourse, in Poland. This racecourse is quite accessible for trainers and riders based in north Bohemia and north Moravia, several of whom regularly compete there. Unfortunately, the public transport links are still not very good, and the journey is also tedious by road.
