Since 2013, steeplechasing has been going from strength to strength at Wroclaw racecourse, in Poland. This racecourse is quite accessible for trainers and riders based in north Bohemia and north Moravia, several of whom regularly compete there. Unfortunately, the public transport links are still not very good, and the journey is also tedious by road.

At the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic press conference held in Prague on January 19th, the trainer and the owner of Nikas issued the following press releases.
The announcement confirming the finding of thiobromine and caffeine in the B sample for Nikas, first past the post in the 2015 Velka Pardubicka, was as expected. After all, a highly respected German laboratory had found these substances in the A samples for Nikas, and also for his stablemate, Čáriray.
It was announced at a press conference held in Prague by the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic that the B sample taken from Nikas, winner of the Velka Pardubicka, on October 11th, has been analyzed and is positive for caffeine and thiobromine.
Further details about the press conference are being prepared.
A press conference will be held at 11 a.m. on January 19th, at which an announcement will be made about the B samples for Nikas and Čáriray.
