Dear Mrs Martina Růžičková,

Fifty-six horses have been entered for the Velka Pardubicka, which will be run on Sunday, October 11^th. The entries include 17 of the 23 runners in VP 2014. There are three Slovak-trained entries, three French-trained, two from Ireland and none from the UK.

For the second month in succession, this newsletter is appearing very late. That will cause very little harm, of course, only a few will even have noticed. Those of you who have noticed, bless you!

The funeral took place in Pardubice on May 6^th of Dr Vladimír Tlučhoř, who died on April 29^th, at the age of 68.  Vladimír Tlučhoř was a well-known veterinary doctor, who ran the veterinary clinic and refuge in Štrossova Street in Pardubice. He was for a short period president of the board of Dostihový Spolek, a.s., organisers of events at Pardubice racecourse, and a member of the Council of the Czech Jockey Club.

Fafintadenient, trained by Josef Váňa snr, ridden by Josef Váňa jnr, won the Prix Quo Vadis, total prizemoney EUR 55 000, over fences at Auteuil on April 17^th.
